Safety Harbor Kiwanis honored January Students of the Month at a breakfast meeting at the Paradise Restaurant in Safety Harbor on February 1st. Four Students were selected from four different elementary schools to be recognized and awarded trophies by the Safety Harbor Kiwanis for the month of February. All of the students are from the 5th grade. Yasamin Muyyad from Liela Davis Elementary was chosen by teacher Karen Hidalgo. Luisa Cruz-Pedraza of McMullen Booth Elementary was selected by teacher Mrs. Bowerman. Malia Connelly at Safety Harbor Elementary was picked by Michelle Brennan and Nancy Montes-Rosquero from Eisenhower Elementary by Bonnie Heller. Parents and teachers were present for presentations that were made by Nadine Nickeson. The teachers praised all the students for their academic achievements and social responabilities toward the community as well as their understanding the values of education.
The Safety Harbor Kiwanis Club awarded ,Student of the Month, for March, trophies to four 5th grade students from four different elementary schools. They are Evelyn Hilgeman from Safety Harbor Elementary, Andrea Lara of Eisenhower Elementary, Haydee Islas of McMullen Booth Elementary and Akela Serrano from Leila Davis Elementary. All were carefully selected by their teachers, based on there academics, as well as sprit and desire study and work hard. All of the student, family and teachers, were treated to breakfast at the Clubs weekly meeting. Special recognition was given to proud parents for their guidance and infuluence. Awards were presented by Kiwanis member Janine Brown.
